Great Place To Work announced this month the 200 best companies to work for in Latin America during an event held in Rio de Janeiro. This is the 23rd edition of the award, which recognizes organizations that stand out in workplace environment practices.

The ranking was divided into two categories: one hundred large companies, with 500 or more employees, and one hundred small and medium-sized organizations, with 50 to 499 employees. Together, these organizations employ more than 4.5 million people spread across 30 countries.

In developing the ranking, companies from 22 sectors present in 18 Latin American countries were considered, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela. To earn the recognition, the winners needed to be listed in at least one national ranking.

This year's edition featured 96 first-time companies among the winners, which shows the dynamism of the market in the region. Of the 104 organizations that appeared in the previous ranking, some maintained their position while others were replaced by new competitors.
