The festival of São Bartolomeu took place on August 24, Monday, in the place of Antigo, a small locality in the parish of Sarraquinhos, in the municipality of Montalegre.
The celebration was marked by the presence of activist and environmentalist Carlos Dobreira, who attended the festivities and reported their development to the media.
Despite the adverse atmospheric conditions, namely the rain that was felt during the morning, the local population kept alive the tradition of honoring São Bartolomeu in this remote and picturesque location of Barroso.
The place of Antigo, located in the parish of Sarraquinhos, is in a remote area of the municipality of Montalegre, in the district of Vila Real, where religious festivities continue to gather the local community.
