A 55-year-old woman was subjected to preventive detention after being arrested by the Judicial Police of Évora, under suspicion of sexual abuse and theft crimes. The defendant is suspected of having attempted to force a 68-year-old man to have sexual relations in exchange for money, using coercion to carry out her intention.
The woman is also suspected of having used physical force to steal objects from a 95-year-old elderly woman. The Public Prosecutor's Office associates the defendant with this robbery crime against the elderly woman, which occurred under circumstances that involved aggression.
In addition to these two crimes, the Public Prosecutor's Office links the defendant to another theft that occurred in March, thus expanding the range of suspicions against the woman.
The case is being investigated by the Judicial Police of Évora, which carried out the arrest and presented the defendant to the criminal investigation judge, resulting in the application of the most severe precautionary measure, preventive detention.
