The Chega party threatens to advance with a motion of censure against the Government already on day 1. The position was conveyed by the party leader, André Ventura, to the deputies.
Ventura expressed hope that the intervention of the President of the Republic may put an end to what he classifies as the "mire" experienced in political institutions.
The threat of a motion of censure comes at a time of political tension, with the party demonstrating intention to pressure the executive from the beginning of the parliamentary session.
