"Government WhatsApp" Cost 600 Thousand Euros and Didn't Work

The Ministry of Economy implemented a government WhatsApp application worth 600 thousand euros, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, which ended up not working as planned.

The tool, which aimed to facilitate communication between the government and citizens, was abandoned without fulfilling its initial objectives effectively.

As this expense was part of the PRR, Portugal may face consequences from European authorities, potentially having "Brussels on its tail" regarding the use of community funds allocated to this failed project.
