Why have Arabic perfumes become a craze in Brazil? Understand the phenomenon

oglobo28 August 2026 at 05:30

Arabic perfumes have become a craze in Brazil, driven by golden bottles, elaborate packaging, and fragrances that until recently were unknown to much of the Brazilian public. The phenomenon gained strength on social media, through review videos, influencer recommendations, and celebrity appearances, transforming a niche category into an object of desire.

Among the names that helped bring these fragrances to the public's attention are Bianca Andrade, Malu Borges, and Viviane Araújo. They actively participated in popularizing these essences among their followers and the general public.

In June 2026, Malu Borges and Viviane Araújo participated, alongside other influencers and personalities, in a Lattafa brand event at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, for the launch of a new fragrance from the brand in Brazil, highlighting the growing importance of the Brazilian market for the Arabic perfume segment.
