In Castellón, the number of people who refuse inheritances is increasing. More and more residents of this region think twice before accepting an inheritance and choose to reject it.

The tax benefits applied to inheritances from close relatives have not been enough to stop this trend. Despite these tax benefits, inheritance resignations continue to grow.

In the first quarter, inheritance resignations in Castellón registered an increase of 11%. This growth represents a rebound after a stabilization period.

The phenomenon is related to the fact that many inheritances involve more expenses than economic benefits for the heirs, especially when they include debts or assets that are difficult to liquidate.
