Health Minister appeals for blood donations

Health Minister Ana Paula Martins appealed to the Portuguese population to donate blood during a visit to the Portuguese Blood and Transplantation Institute in Lisbon, where she herself made a donation. The minister highlighted that there are collection sites throughout the country, with highly qualified professionals, and that donating blood is a simple gesture that can save up to three lives.

Ana Paula Martins told journalists that donating blood "costs nothing" and that it is an effective way to save many lives through donations. The visit to the Lisbon institute was aimed at raising awareness among the population about the importance of blood donation.
