The PL presidential candidate, Flavío Bolsonaro, will meet next Sunday with Gustavo Villatoro, El Salvador's Justice Minister. The meeting was announced by the candidate himself during a live stream on Thursday, without revealing details about the location of the meeting.
Flavío Bolsonaro stated that El Salvador is an inspiration for his public security plan, highlighting that the country managed to practically zero out crime after being dominated by criminal factions, a situation he compared to what is currently happening in Brazil. He classified the Salvadoran model as an example of success in public security.
The meeting takes place a few months after the presentation of his public security plan, which proposes the creation of five maximum security prisons inspired by the model adopted by President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador. The candidate did not detail the complete content of the plan during the live stream.
