The National Monetary Council (CMN) approved on Thursday changes to the financing rules for companies in the fertilizer and critical minerals sectors. The changes are part of the Sovereign Brazil Plan, a program that offers subsidized credit for strategic segments of the economy.
Companies engaged in the manufacture of fertilizers, the production of intermediates for fertilizers, and the extraction of minerals for the manufacture of fertilizers and other chemical products will have new possibilities for accessing credit.
Previously, these sectors could only contract financing aimed at the acquisition of capital goods and for investment. With the approval of the changes, they will also have access to working capital lines, expanding the available financing options.
The measures were developed to strengthen these sectors considered strategic, allowing greater financial flexibility for companies operating in these areas of the economy.
