For Montenegro, Government has been patient with an opposition that says a lot of "nonsense and absurdities"

The Portuguese prime minister, Luís Montenegro, considered that the Executive has been "very patient" with the opposition. His statements were made this Thursday, during a public speech.

Montenegro accused the opposition of "saying a lot of nonsense and absurdities", showing some irritation with the criticism that has been directed at the Government.

The prime minister defended that working will be the way to respond to the criticism received. In his view, the opposition's attacks represent only "requests for distraction" that do not deserve much attention.

This position comes at a time of political tension, with Montenegro choosing to take a posture of direct confrontation with the opposition parties, rather than ignoring their criticism.
