With Lyra ahead in Pernambuco, 'chief' of Lula's networks leaves Secom to return to Campos' campaign team

João Campos' (PSB) campaign confirmed the return of Mariah Queiroz, a social media strategy specialist, to work on the electoral dispute against Governor Raquel Lyra (PSD) in Pernambuco. Queiroz had left Campos' team in 2024, after his election as mayor of Recife with 78.11% of the votes, to work at the Social Communication Secretariat (Secom) of the Lula government, where she held the position of Secretary of Strategy and Networks at the Presidency of the Republic. Her return comes at a time when the campaign seeks to contain Lyra's growth in electoral polls.
