The Greens criticized the executive for its options in railway policy, advocating for greater investment in the rail network and public transport. The party expressed opposition to the bet on a luxury tourist train, considering that resources should be channeled to other priorities.

Among the priorities identified by the party are the reactivation of the Corgo Line, the improvement of railway connections to Portalegre and Beja, and the construction of a new railway crossing. According to The Greens, these measures would be more urgent and beneficial for the population than tourist-oriented projects.

The environmentalist party believes that investment in railway infrastructure should prioritize regional connectivity and the transportation of passengers and goods, rather than luxury initiatives aimed at tourism.
