US blocks passage of 75 ships in the Strait of Hormuz

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) reported having blocked up to August 27 seventy-five ships in the Strait of Hormuz, as part of the naval blockade imposed by Washington on Iran's ports. According to the statement, American forces diverted 75 commercial ships, disabled three, and boarded two to ensure compliance with the sanctions. Tensions between the two countries escalated after Washington declared a measure that worsened the conflict.
