S&P and Nasdaq rise driven by Nvidia. Company shares surge 7.7%

Major Wall Street indices rose on Thursday, driven by Nvidia, whose exceptional earnings outlook sent its shares soaring 7.7%. The S&P 500 gained 0.8% and the Nasdaq 100 rose 1.3%, with technology being the only sector up on the index. Salesforce also stood out after presenting strong revenue expectations and expanding its partnership with Anthropic. Sandisk shares rose after announcement of a $31 billion investment with Kioxia to expand production capacity in Japan.
