Detran finds stolen engine and arrests junkyard owner during inspection in Jacarepaguá

Agents from the Disassembly Directorate of Detran RJ, with support from the Military Police and DRFA, carried out an operation called Desmonte at a complex of workshops in Colônia Juliano Moreira, in Jacarepaguá, and found a stolen engine at a scrapyard. The owner of the establishment, who already had a criminal record, was cited and arrested in the act without the right to bail. Of the three establishments inspected, two were shut down for operating without the mandatory accreditation from Detran RJ for vehicle disassembly.
