Director Jorge Furtado returns to comedy almost 20 years after his last film in the genre, "Saneamento básico," with "Muito prazer," which premieres in theaters this Thursday (29). In the film, Rubem (Daniel de Oliveira) inherits an old motel and, upon arriving at the location, meets Grace (Luisa Arraes), a former employee who came to live there. With debts to pay, the two decide to reopen the establishment with the help of Nalva (Samantha Jones), planning an unconventional strategy. In an interview, Luisa Arraes highlights that "passion is a thing that catches," and Furtado reinforces his style of treating serious topics with humor, having made comedies about fraud, murder, and basic sanitation in his filmography.
In the scenes that air starting this Friday in the soap opera, the relationship between Bela and Vanessa becomes extremely conflictive. After having her name associated with an alleged kidnapping of minors and being publicly accused by Vanessa, Bela believes the heiress is seeking revenge and trying to tarnish her image. The obstetrician confronts Vanessa at the Romano house, where the encounter turns into a heated settling of scores.
