oglobo27 August 2026 at 19:17

Alison dos Santos set a new world record in the 400 meters hurdles by clocking 45.80 at the Zurich leg of the Diamond League. The Brazilian, two-time Olympic bronze medalist, remains unbeaten this season and will proceed to the Diamond League finals in Brussels on September 4 and 5. The competition also highlights the absence of the Paris-2024 Olympic champion, Rai Benjamin, from the United States, who has been focusing more on the flat 400 meters, but showed potential by running 46.67 over hurdles a week ago in Lausanne.
