A devastating flood wave, composed of water, pulverized ice, sand and rocks, hit mountain valleys on the border between Nepal and China, advancing with a force estimated at twice that of ordinary water at the same speed, according to experts. Three bodies were found on the banks of the Gandak River in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, suspected to have been carried from the affected regions in Nepal. Rescue teams continue working in Tibet and Nepal under the threat of new floods and landslides in the region.
