About 245 people with medical clearance continue hospitalized waiting for a social solution

Approximately 245 people with medical clearance for discharge remain hospitalized at the Dr. Nélio Mendonça and Marmeleiros hospitals in Madeira, waiting for a social response or another care solution. SESARAM was informed by the Madeira Social Security Institute about the availability of 30 places for the reception of these people who, although clinically fit for discharge, remain hospitalized due to lack of care alternatives.

Lisbon: Brazilian voters will vote at the University City in the 2026 elections

The Consulate-General of Brazil in Lisbon has designated the Cidade Universitária (University City) as the voting location for the 2026 elections, distributing the 78,833 voters across three buildings: the Rectory, the Faculty of Letters, and the Faculty of Law. The Faculty of Law will host the largest number of voters (34,042), followed by the Faculty of Letters (28,840) and the Rectory (15,951).
