Trump signs executive order renaming Lake Ontario to "Lake America"

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario as "Lake America" on the American side, escalating his diplomatic dispute with Canada. Trump said the change was something he had been thinking about for a long time, after already making the threat through social media. The decision applies only to the United States, since the President has no authority to force Canada to adopt the new name.
