US President Donald Trump said that Russia will not attack NATO member countries, downplaying American media reports that CIA Director John Ratcliffe had secretly traveled to Moscow to warn the Russians against any offensive against allies. The Kremlin had already classified these reports as "alarmist." Trump said he had maintained "good conversations" with Russian President Vladimir Putin and repeated that NATO will not be attacked.
