GR allocates 450 thousand euros for the modernization of the Porto Santo Congress Centre

The Madeira Government Council approved a program-contract of 450 thousand euros for the rehabilitation and modernization of the Porto Santo Cultural and Congress Center. The financing will be provided by the Region, through the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructures, in partnership with the Porto Santo Development Society, under the PIDDAR Project.

Illegal market: beverage counterfeiting and irregular advertisements challenge enforcement, say specialists

Rock in Rio: tourists from outside the state dominate almost 50% of the expected audience

This year's Rock in Rio is expected to generate around R$3.3 billion in the Rio economy and attract 700,000 people to the City of Rock, in Barra da Tijuca. The festival begins next Friday, September 4th, with performances by Foo Fighters, Rise Against and The Hives, continuing in the following days with Avenged Sevenfold, Calvin Harris, Black Eyed Peas, Elton John, Stray Kids, Maroon 5 and Demi Lovato, in addition to Twenty One Pilots. According to the event's director of institutional relations, Gustavo Mostof, almost half of the audience comes from outside the state of Rio, mainly from São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Paraná. The city's hotel network is at almost 90% occupancy, highlighting the festival's tourist impact, which will span two weekends of events, including the September 7th holiday.
