Casa dos Patudos is a regional finalist of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal

Casa dos Patudos – Museu de Alpiarça was selected as a regional finalist in the New 7 Wonders of Portugal competition, in the Tourism category, representing the Alentejo and Ribatejo region. Moving to the next phase places the historic house-museum of José Relvas, an iconic figure of the Portuguese First Republic, among the projects candidates for the Regional Final scheduled for August 29, at Portas do Sol, in Santarém. The Municipality of Alpiarça expressed pride in the distinction and called for community mobilization to support the project.

CCP meets in Brasília to discuss "consular network, nationality and the future of the Luso-Brazilian community"

The Brazil Section of the Council of Portuguese Communities (CCP) held its annual meeting in Brasília, between August 27 and 29, bringing together advisors from Portuguese communities in Brazil to discuss topics such as the consular network, social support, associativism, nationality, electoral participation, and the future of the Luso-Brazilian community. The event, which took place at the Embassy of Portugal and ended with a visit to the Portuguese Association of Brasília, was attended by Ambassador Isabel Brilhante Pedrosa and the President of the Permanent Council, Flávio Martins, who highlighted the CCP's priorities related to the simplification of electoral and nationality attribution processes for people of Portuguese descent.
