Lula tries to contain crisis between Mendonça and the director-general of the PF and defends meeting to reduce rough edges

President Lula asked the director-general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, to meet with Supreme Court Justice André Mendonça to reduce the institutional tension between the two. The crisis arises amid investigations conducted by Mendonça involving the president's son, Lulinha, as well as the Dark Horse case related to Bolsonaro, the Master case, and the INSS scandal. Lula's allies express concern about the high electoral potential of these investigations during the presidential campaign.
Paulo Raimundo accused the Government of "throwing mud at the wall" regarding the promise not to touch Social Security during this legislation, considering that promise "is worth nothing".
