The president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), has chosen allies of President Lula as rapporteurs for provisional measures and projects considered priorities by the Executive branch. Senator Leila Barros (PDT-DF) will report on the MP that eliminates the so-called "blusinhas tax," which had been stalled and was at risk of expiring without being voted on. The agreement for the vote was reached after a meeting between Alcolumbre, Lula, and the president of the Chamber, Hugo Motta, with a deadline until September 8.
