The Attorney General's Office received a complaint against the director of the Judicial Police, Carlos Cabreiro, related to recordings authorized by him in 2015. The recordings captured a meeting between Aníbal Pinto, a defendant and convicted in the Football Leaks case who at the time represented Rui Pinto, with Nélio Lucas, owner of Doyen, and lawyer Pedro Henriques, at a service area in Oeiras.

Attorney General's Office received complaint against director of the Judicial Police

The Attorney General of Portugal confirmed having received a complaint against the director of the Judicial Police, Carlos Cabreiro, within the scope of the Football Leaks case. The complaint alleges that wiretaps were made without judicial authorization in 2015, during a meeting between Aníbal Pinto, Nélio Lucas (owner of Doyen) and lawyer Pedro Henriques at a service area in Oeiras. This meeting was crucial for the identification of Rui Pinto, who was convicted in 2023. The Minister of Justice, Rita Alarcão Júdice, reiterated confidence in Carlos Cabreiro, referring the investigation to the DIAP of Lisbon.

Executive Director of the NHS learned about the challenges and priorities of ULS Região de Aveiro

The Executive Director of the NHS, Álvaro Almeida, carried out a working visit to ULS Região de Aveiro to learn about the institution's main challenges and priorities. During the visit to Hospital Infante D. Pedro, structural problems were identified such as the shortage of nurses and technicians, the limitations of the Emergency Department, insufficient capacity in the Operating Theatre, the lack of air conditioning and the inadequate psychiatric facilities. The administration presented a priority investment plan that includes the construction of a new Emergency Department, increasing surgical capacity, air conditioning for the inpatient wards and a new building for outpatient activity, aimed at modernizing the unit and improving access to healthcare in the region.
