The Federal Justice of DF suspended the Export Tax on crude oil through a decision by Judge Diego Câmara, from the 17th Federal Court. The provisional measure was taken on the same day that the Executive Management Committee (Gecex) of Camex was meeting to decide on the extension of the 12% tax, which is in effect until September 9 and is applied to mitigate the effects of the war in the Middle East on the domestic market and cover costs of subsidies to gasoline and diesel. The Ministry of Finance defends the extension of the rate for another 60 days. Since March, when it came into effect, the Union has already collected R$ 7.982 billion with the tax, considering data until July.
