OndaCoimbra, a Honda dealer in Coimbra, presented the brand's new models for this semester, highlighting the WN7, Honda's first electric motorcycle, and the new CB1000GT, which promises to revolutionize the Sport Touring concept. These two models are the dealer's main bets for the local market.

Fosun profits grow 160% in the half-year. Fidelity grew 24%

Fosun International, the Chinese conglomerate that controls 85% of Fidelidade and 20.45% of BCP, recorded profit attributable to shareholders of 1.72 billion renminbi (218 million euros) in the first half, an increase of 160.3% compared to the same period last year. The Portuguese insurer Fidelidade contributed a net profit of 165 million euros, growing 23.8% despite losses caused by the storm train that hit Portugal between January and February. The group's total revenues reached 86.96 billion renminbi (11.1 billion euros), up 17%. Fosun continued to reduce debt through divestments, having generated more than 12 billion renminbi (1.53 billion euros) from the sale of non-strategic assets, including the possibility of selling its stake in BCP. At the end of June, the group had 7.82 billion euros in cash.

Ageas insurer profit grows 25% to 846 million euros by June

Belgian insurer Ageas achieved a profit of 846 million euros in the first half of 2026, a growth of 24.9% compared to the same period last year, despite the impacts of storms in Belgium and Portugal. Operating result reached 776 million euros, with the Life segment contributing 629 million euros and the Non-Life segment contributing 240 million euros. CEO Hans De Cuyper highlighted the strong commercial performance, supported by excellent new business in the Life segment and solid growth in Non-Life. The company completed the acquisition of AG Insurance and sold its stake in Maybank for 1,100 million euros. The combined ratio was affected by adverse weather conditions, adding approximately five percentage points, and totaled 95.2% at the end of June. Insurance premiums reached 12,075 million euros, and the company estimated that net operating result should exceed 1,950 million euros by the end of the year.
