Prison guards' strike at EP Porto with 90% participation: they protest against the lack of security and constant assaults at the facility

The prison guards at the Porto Prison Facility carried out a strike with 90% participation, protesting against the lack of security and the constant assaults they face in the workplace. Of the approximately 80 guards, only eight did not join the strike, with three being new guards who expressed willingness to participate but were advised not to do so.
A nine-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after falling from the second floor of a building in Caldas da Rainha. The PSP is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident, with no further details yet about what caused the fall.
