Renan Santos says he was 'SUS-skeptical until studying' and defends health system based on model adopted in El Salvador

The presidential candidate for Republicanos, Renan Santos, revealed during a forum hosted by GLOBO, CBN and Valor that he was "SUS-skeptical" in the past, but went on to study public health models from other countries and now advocates for creating a system based on the model adopted in El Salvador by President Nayib Bukele. He highlighted the "Doctor CV" app, created by the Salvadoran government in partnership with Google, which offers 24-hour telemedicine consultations, and defended the use of unified medical records and artificial intelligence for predictive disease capacity and better allocation of health resources.
