Prime Minister rejects changes to the social security system in the current legislative term

The Portuguese prime minister, Luís Montenegro, rejected any changes to the social security system during the current legislative session, stating that he will only discuss the matter in future legislatures. Montenegro argued that no one should seek political gains from the current situation on a matter that is meant to last for decades, emphasizing the need for stability and consensus on these structural issues.
André Ventura, during a visit to "alert political power," accused the Government of "failure" in resolving post-Kristin problems, considering that the delay represents "the State's failure" and that the most affected populations "were forgotten."
