A new investigation reveals that dolphins in other regions beyond Shark Bay in Western Australia, where the behavior was initially documented, also use shells to catch fish. The study suggests that dolphin calves learn these fishing techniques from their mothers, demonstrating the cultural transmission of this behavior between generations.
