Portuguese Church renews invitation to the Pope for a private audience visit at the Vatican

The Portuguese Episcopal Conference (CEP) was received by Pope Francis at the Vatican, in the first audience since the election of the new leadership of the Conference. During the meeting, the invitation for a private audience visit was renewed, strengthening the ties between the Portuguese Church and the Vatican.
The European Commission announced the mobilization of one million euros to provide urgent health care, food and shelter to victims of the floods that affected northern Nepal, in the region along the border with China. This funding aims to support the necessary humanitarian operations to respond to the emergency caused by the floods in the Asian country.
