Labour Court condemned the Droga Raia pharmacy chain to pay R$ 4 million for collective moral damages, after a public civil action filed by the Labour Prosecutor's Office in Rio de Janeiro. The accusation covered cases of moral, sexual and maternity harassment, as well as discriminatory practices related to race, sexual orientation, gender identity and physical appearance, including fatphobia. The Regional Labour Court of the 1st Region also identified that the company's internal reporting channel did not function effectively to investigate and suppress acts of harassment and discrimination, in addition to failures in occupational health and safety programs, without adequate monitoring of psychosocial risks.
