A civil police officer was shot during an operation against a criminal organization specialized in theft, cloning, and sale of vehicles in the neighborhood of Realengo, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The agent was rescued and taken to Municipal Hospital Albert Schweitzer, where he remains out of danger, with an expected discharge today. The operation also serves arrest and search warrants in the Southwest Zone, Niterói, and São Gonçalo, in the Metropolitan Region, resulting in the arrest of at least one suspect. According to the investigations, the group searched for vehicles advertised on the internet to clone similar cars, tampering with identification signals and selling them below market prices on social media. Police also identified an armed structure with nine criminals responsible for protecting and providing logistics for the scheme.

A 27-year-old man was arrested by the PSP in Rio de Mouro, Sintra, on suspicion of drug trafficking.
