Regional Government prepares transfer of 30 problematic discharges to the IPSS

The Regional Government of Madeira is preparing to transfer 30 problematic discharges to private social solidarity institutions (IPSS), in an attempt to free up hospital beds. SESARAM has been repeatedly canceling surgeries due to the lack of beds to admit patients, increasing the pressure on the regional health system.
