A Spanish group announced an 80 million euro investment in the Cascais Miragem hotel, but put 177 jobs at risk, justifying the decision with the closure of the establishment for renovation works. After two meetings with the workers, the hotel management refused further meetings for negotiation, generating concern among the employees and their representatives.
Portugal is going to buy 75 armored vehicles from Spain for the marines, in an investment of 120 million euros fully funded by the European Union. The first vehicles, manufactured in Spain, should start arriving in the country next year.
