Video: workers run to escape 'mud tsunami' of up to 15 meters in Nepal

A group of workers had to flee to higher ground after detecting an enormous wave of water and mud approaching through a valley in Nepal. The video, recorded by one of the workers themselves, shows the men abandoning a construction area near a bridge and along the banks of a river, seconds before the flood hit the region. One of them screams "my God" while fleeing. The wave, which according to the British newspaper The Sun may have reached up to 15 meters in height, advanced through the valley at high speed, dragging a large mass of muddy water, mud and debris.
A nine-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after falling from the second floor of a building in Caldas da Rainha. The PSP is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident, with no further details yet about what caused the fall.
