More than 100 chestnut trees destroyed by deer in village of Bragança

More than a hundred chestnut trees were destroyed by deer in the village of Fresulfe, in the municipality of Bragança. The damages caused by game wildlife raise questions about financial responsibility, since Portuguese legislation determines that damages caused by animals in hunting areas must be borne by the entity responsible for it, in this case the local parish council.
A nine-year-old child was seriously injured after falling from the second floor of a building. As soon as the mother realized the accident, she called emergency number 112. The girl was treated at the scene by an INEM medical team and later transported with serious injuries to the Hospital das Caldas da Rainha.
