Nacho Puig Aubeyzon, a 32-year-old from Barcelona, founder of the NGO Bahadur Social Project, dedicated to helping the Chepang indigenous communities of Nepal, made up of approximately 70,000 people, spoke about the devastation caused by a recent mud, rock and stone avalanche in the Gorkha and Dhading areas. Speaking to EL PERIÓDICO by phone from Pokhara, Puig warned that the current losses are enormous, but that the hardest part will come later, since many people were already in a very vulnerable situation before the disaster.
