Federal Police operation targets illegal importation of rifle parts and accessories from the USA to Brazil

Federal Police carried out Operation Orion II to dismantle an illegal import scheme of rifle parts and accessories from the United States to Brazil. The operation executed two preventive detention orders and three search and seizure warrants in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The investigation, which had support from the Postal Service, began after the identification of suspicious packages from Florida containing the weapon components. The operation represents the second phase of a broader investigation into the criminal scheme.
