Portugal secured seven qualifications at the opening of the ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships in Poznań, Poland. In eight events contested, only the women's K4 completed their participation. The highlight was the men's K4 500 meters, made up of Gustavo Gonçalves, João Ribeiro, Messias Baptista and Pedro Casinha, who secured qualification.
