Persistent heat and lack of precipitation are significantly affecting summer crops and fodder supply in several regions of Western and Central Europe, according to the latest MARS Bulletin from the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. The most significant impacts are observed in France and southern Germany, where adverse conditions are threatening agricultural productivity and livestock feed availability.
