Marques Mendes, former leader of the PSD, warned that you cannot live in "permanent electoral campaign" and defended the need for minimum agreements between political forces for the functioning of the country. The political commentator, who admitted returning to active analysis, considered it important to look at examples of political consensus, referring both to what he classified as "the number one militant of the PSD" and to the socialist Mário Soares, underlining the importance of dialogue between different parties to overcome political deadlocks.
