Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama died at age 97. Throughout her career, Kusama exhibited her works in museums around the world and received numerous distinctions, including the Order of Arts and Letters of Japan and the Order of Culture of Japan, the highest government recognition for significant cultural contributions.
