Norovirus identified in São Miguel after gastroenteritis outbreak. Authorities reinforce prevention measures

The Regional Health Authority confirmed the presence of norovirus in cases registered in São Miguel, following an outbreak of gastroenteritis that led to a significant increase in patients with symptoms. In Faial, more than 400 people went to hospital emergency rooms in a period of approximately one and a half months, alerting authorities to the need to reinforce prevention measures.
