From pre-salt to data centers, Rio has R$ 327.6 billion in investments mapped out by 2028

Rio de Janeiro has R$ 327.6 billion in mapped investments between 2026 and 2028, according to a Firjan survey, covering areas such as pre-salt oil, data centers, infrastructure, and tourism. The figure rises to more than R$ 500 billion when considering signaled projects that have not yet been confirmed. The entity's president, Luiz Césio Caetano, highlighted that oil should generate more than 1,400 jobs in the state by the end of 2027, driven by accelerated production in pre-salt fields. Among the highlighted projects are works at Serra das Araras, on the Presidente Dutra Highway, and a package of more than R$ 22 billion announced by the City of Rio.
Portugal is going to buy 75 armored vehicles from Spain for the marines, in an investment of 120 million euros fully funded by the European Union. The first vehicles, manufactured in Spain, should start arriving in the country next year.
A lawyer specializing in Labor Law warned that the repositioning of technicians and the consequent review of salary scales with repayment of wages is legally questionable and raises serious legal doubts.
