Island in Venice with Napoleonic fort over 200 years old is put up for sale for R$33 million

An entire island called Isola di Crevan, located in the outskirts of Venice, Italy, has been put up for sale for €5.5 million (approximately R$33 million). With 5,700 m², the island houses an ancient Napoleonic fortification built in 1806, during French rule, which included defensive barracks and was restored for residential use. The main construction has 215 m² with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, gardens with fruit and ornamental trees, a private dock, and a helipad. According to the real estate agency Lionard, responsible for the sale, the property maintains the original layout of the spaces and represents a unique opportunity in the real estate market.
IHRU opened nine competitions to provide 77 dwellings for affordable rental in 19 municipalities across the country, including municipalities in the Alentejo region such as Beja, Évora, and Reguengos de Monsaraz. The dwellings have typologies ranging from T0 to T6 and are intended for individuals or households under the Rental Support Program. Applications are open until September 17 and must be submitted through the IHRU Arrenda Platform, with prior registration of the Application Registration Certificate required on the Housing Portal.

Two cooperatives submitted proposals for the construction on Caminho dos Saltos, in Funchal. IHM – Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira launched a public tender to select the cooperative that will obtain the definitive and onerous transfer of land with an approximate area of 5,580 m², located in that area of the parish of Imaculado Coração de Maria.
A new unit of the National Urgent and Temporary Housing Fund was inaugurated in Retorta, Vila do Conde, resulting from a partnership between the Municipality and the local Santa Casa da Misericordia. The structure aims to host families in vulnerable situations, functioning as a transition stage towards permanent housing solutions, ensuring protection, inclusion and autonomy. This project is part of the national strategy for creating residential units through acquisition, rehabilitation or construction, with an investment of 203 million euros under the PRR, foreseeing 2,000 emergency or transition accommodations nationwide, in addition to dwellings, housing blocks and centers for security forces.
