The Government unblocks the reform of access to the teaching profession with a reinforcement of practical training

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Spain created a working group with university experts to study changes in access to the teaching public service, drawing up a draft that includes strengthening the compulsory practicums that teachers complete before practicing. This reform, which had been on the political agenda since the term of former minister Isabel Celaà (2018-2021), remained without progress for years, but the government now intends to modernize the system of competitive examinations convened by the autonomous communities.
